New server

October 11, 2008 by contextgarden

I will be moving the garden to a new server this weekend. You probably didn’t notice it, but the 20 gig harddrive is full, so we need more space for all the great ConTeXt related files.

Let’s keep our fingers crossed that everything works out fine. Please tell us (gardeners at contextgarden.net) if you find anything that is broken. Thanks!

New Homepage on the wiki

August 31, 2008 by contextgarden

Aditya has reorganized the home page of the wiki, and I like it a lot. It looks more structured and I am sure that the users will be happy with that change. So if you have any comments, please post them on the mailing list or to this post.

News from the ConTeXt meeting

August 24, 2008 by contextgarden

We are having a good time at the context meeting in Bohinj, Slovenia! Besides the talks you can find on the webpage, we have other interesting talks and event:

  • Discussion about distributing context
  • Excursion to a technical museum (we’ve made a TeX glyph) and a very impressive cave
  • An attempt to design a (new) logo for context
  • All kinds of discussions while sitting at a bonfire

To put it in two words, the meeting is “just great”.

Server maintenance

The server is currently down due to a RAM replacement. It will be back up in a few minutes.

updates coming soon

June 24, 2008 by contextgarden

Behind the scenes: texshow

Mojca and I are currently working on update of texshow(-web). More attractive and less spam. The current texshow-web is
not good at keeping up to date with changes to the source file ‘cont-en.xml’ (and its ilk). We are planning to change that, too.

garden admins at the context meeting

June 23, 2008 by contextgarden

Welcome to the contextgarden.net news site!

As you might know, there is the second context meeting in August in Slovenia. If you want to talk to any of the garden maintainers or any other TeXies, just go there and you have a great chance to learn a lot about context.
